The Kebena Community is a non-profit and non-political organization. KC created by group of African immigrants who share the common goal of supporting each other. We aim to preserve our rich African heritage with the intent of passing it to the next generation. Our goal is to encourage, help each other and to create strong relationships between our community. We believe when people connect and help each other life will be enjoyable.

OUR PROGRAMS


MONTHLY MEETING

KC's monthly meeting will be held the first sunday of every month and we strongly recommend every member to attend this meeting on a regular basis. Not a member yet? Well, you don't have to be! you can still come and attend our monthly meeting and all the other activities. But we would love you to be a member.

Child and Youth Programs

  • Every Sat & Sun: soccer training from 10AM to 12PM.
  • We have ample room for kids to run, play and learn.

About Our Service


Wedding Services

KC provides marriage services to perform "Aqd" or "Nikah” according to Kebena tradition and culture practice of marriage principles. For our community members we have many experienced, dedicated staff will assist in planning every detail of your big day. Expect to enjoy stress-free planning and special touches such as complimentary accommodations for the bride and groom. KC cultural center can ultimately accommodate up to 250 guests and plenty of parking spaces.

Family Counseling Services

We provide cultural and spiritually based family counseling. If you visit the Kebena community family counseling center, you will find personalized, intimate programs for restoring individuals and rebuilding marriages. There are new beginnings, even for husbands and wives who think all hope is lost. We have a lot of volunteers who’s every day at Focus on the Family, we hear many types of stories—stories of relationships healed, families strengthened, and desperate situations turned around. Do not hesitate to get help.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

KC gladly offers financial assistance to those who need. We simply ask that you provide us with the required information demonstrating your need for financial assistance. We are appreciative of many of you who donations. They help us to mobilize our community to provide appropriate supports during this difficult time.
